Digital Printing

Proofing is the best way to ensure that your finished products will match your expectation. We will calibrate our machines to create a baseline proof that we show to you. If you are unhappy with the proof, you can edit your file and have up to 3 proofs printed total. Once you have approved your proof, we calibrate our printers again to match the approved proof. This process will let you see the color, resolution, and paper type of your order, but will not guarantee exactly where your order will be cut, folded, drilled, or indicate the positioning of other finishing work, as there is always variation in the finishing process. Typically proofs are printed with both sides on the same side of one large press sheet. We cannot guarantee the output color and resolution of your project without proofing, so please request a proof before starting if this is a sensitive project.

We offer a free proof of a single image for any digital order of 1000 pieces or more. We offer free proofs of perfect bound books of all quantities, and free proofs of all books of 50 quantity or higher. Orders under these minimum quantities will cost $10 per image to proof. Booklets with a quoted price per piece of more than $10 will use the quoted price for one piece as the proofing fee, though orders of over 50 booklets will still qualify for a free proof.

Proofing & Turnaround Times

Proofing will add at minimum 2 business days to your order. The turnaround time on the full order will not begin until after the proof is approved in writing.

Receiving Your Proof

Unless otherwise requested, the proof will have the same delivery option as the full order. If you choose to pick up your order, your proof will be set up for pickup as well. If you choose to have your order shipped, your proof will be mailed to you via USPS.

Offset Printing

In some instances we can make an epson proof of your offset order. This is a good simulation of the final product but will not be an exact match in color, texture or paper type. We can also typically make a digital mockup if you would like to see this as a sample. Please contact us to inquire about getting a proof of your offset project.

Large Format Printing

Test strips are available upon request and start at $12. Please contact us to inquire about getting a large format test strip.
