Get In The Spooky Spirit
We are knee deep in spooky season over here and wanted to share some of our favorite recent projects that keep us feeling the best kind of magical and mystical.
Check out these local artists and what they’ve been up to — we’re sure it will get you in the cool and creepy spirit before all the best October holidays.
15 Years of Fireball + Open House Recap!
Fifteen years ago, Fireball started with a single copy machine in a living room under the El on Front Street in Philadelphia. Since then, we’ve grown to our own space and expanded to serve artists, creators, and organizations around the country. We’ve always wanted to make art accessible to as many people as possible and we keep trying to find new ways to do that each year.
On Friday, we celebrated all of that with our friends and neighbors at our Open House. We ate food from local vendors, hosted a variety of circus arts performances, and even had on-staff artists selling their creations. It was really great.Â
Find out more about all the artists, vendors, and performers:
Tacos from Cantina La Martina
Cider from Young American
Tea and Kombucha from void
Sundaes from Somerset Splits

WEIRDO 2023: Call for Participants!
This year’s WEIRDO will be on November 4, 2023 and the Call For Participants is now open!
WEIRDO is an annual celebration of all things art and weird! It is our love letter to the East Kensington area and the spirit of creativity that makes Philadelphia an interesting place to live.
We focus on visionary, self-taught and outsider art, circus arts and various skills and feats, humor and sorcery, bodyslams and bubbles, treasures and illusions.
If you’re an artist/vendor/person/act who seems to jive with that kind of situation, send in an application!
This is an art event so ideally you make the stuff you’re selling (unless it’s really cool or weird), and we really love self taught/outsider/folk/weird stuff. When in doubt, apply!
If you are an exhibition only artist (not selling anything), click here to apply.
If you are a vendor, click here.
And performers of any and all kinds, click here.
To go to the WEIRDO website, click here.
We can’t wait to see you there.
