(5) eight hour shifts, M-F

Starting at $17/hour

About the Job

As a Packing & Shipping Assistant at Fireball Printing, your responsibilities will include carefully and efficiently packing items for shipping and pickups, overseeing the creation of accurate shipping labels, and maintaining quality control standards throughout. Additionally, you’ll help with managing incoming jobs from our external vendors, ensuring their timely processing and adherence to our quality benchmarks. In addition to these core tasks, you’ll also contribute to the overall workspace by handling some light cleaning duties, and helping in other departments as needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to efficiency will be crucial in upholding our high standards in the shipping department. 

Responsibilities

• Pack and prepare finished products for shipment or pickup
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet our high standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Clean trash from outside, in front of the building, and sweep the staging room and common areas
• Unload and process incoming jobs from external vendors

Required Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Moderate level of aptitude with computers
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements on a ruler
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with shipping and packing

Working Conditions

• The work environment is primarily indoors, within a print shop setting.
• The position may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
